Ricky Guariento – Soloist

Spread the love

I was born in 1974 and started early: vocals, guitar, village bands, rehearsal rooms, small but real stages. I learned from the classics—Queen, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith—not to imitate them, but to understand how a song lights up when it stops being "just notes" and becomes a vision.
Then came my own bands: Local Heroes Band, the more rock and prog turn with Praetesto, and collaborations that taught me one simple thing: music changes face, but the heart remains the same. Writing has always been my way of putting things in order… without really wanting to.
In 2017, I chose the solo, independent path. From there, I began to seek out sounds that don't ask for permission: soundtracks for films, games, and imaginary worlds, soundscapes for those who still want to lose themselves. My favorite limit? Not having any.
I mix "incompatible" things until they stop fighting: rock and metal, classical, electronic, ambient, folk, cinematic. Sometimes against all logic. But if it sounds true, it stays. If it sounds convenient, I break it.
